HGV Class 2 Driver Roro/Skip Required. Temp to Perm. Solvit Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established food recycling company based in Leicester for a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 Roro/Skip Driver to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis. There is plenty of training and for the right applicant you may be upskilled to HGV Class 1.
Role Overview: The ideal candidate will hold a HGV Class 2 licence and have experience operating RORO (roll‑on/roll‑off) and skip vehicles. You will start Monday to Friday training for a couple of weeks. Then you will have your shift pattern of 4 off, 4 on. Start times from 06:00, 12-hour shifts.
Pay Rates: £15.00 during training. After training, you will be paid £17.89 per hour.
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence with a minimum of 1 year experience.
- Experience with skip and RO/RO operations.
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication, oral and written.
- Complete all paperwork.
- CPC and Tacho compliance.
- No DR, DD, TT or IN10.
