We Build Recruitment are now looking to recruit for an Installation Electrician on behalf of our client, a leading and fast growing North West based provider of parking solutions nationwide. The candidate will need to be within commutable distance of their Preston operations hub.
Key responsibilities:
- Travel and work away from home up to four nights per week to complete electrical installations
- Carry out electrical installations on ANPR systems in line with customer specification and contractual requirements
- Preventative, periodic and reactive maintenance on existing electrics across our car park estate
- Problem solving, problem detection and repairing system faults using a logical approach
- Carry out testing on ANPR equipment
- Responsible for ensuring safe working practices and always adhering to Health & Safety regulations and expectations when carrying out any work
- Liaising with clients/customers and other on-site trades regarding our works to obtain relevant information required for the task
- Using a laptop or phone to send and receive emails, edit Microsoft Word documents, use Microsoft Teams when required and complete online training courses.
Essential experience and qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience within a comparable role after completion of electrical apprenticeship
- 18th Edition Electrical Certificate
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical installation/Electrotechnical technology.
- Competent in all aspects of electrical installation, maintenance and fault finding.
- Experience working with a range of containment systems and working with SWA.
- Experience of working in line with Electricity at Work Regulations and IEE Wiring Regulations.
- A valid driving licence and the ability to drive a company van and comply with the requirements of the company insurers
- Commercial/Industrial experience.
- Understanding of single/three phase electrical supplies, and control equipment such as contactors
- Experience of testing and inspection
- Competent in working at height and using different ladder and access platforms.
Desirable experience and qualifications:
- ECS gold card
- Inspection and testing
- A working knowledge of IP addresses and configuration of networking hardware
- Experience in data networking/CAT 5 & 6
- Safe Working at Height
- CSCS Card

THIS ROLE IS UK WIDE THEREFORE UP TO FOUR NIGHTS WORKING AWAY WILL BE REQUIRED.
