We are looking for an experienced FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) Project Manager to join our growing team in Manchester. This is a hands-on, end-to-end role — you'll be involved from pre-construction right through to final delivery on site, working closely with the pre-construction team to build out labour costs, develop the programme, and then deliver the project with the support of a site manager and wider site team.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-Construction
- Work closely with the pre-construction team to review tender documents, drawings and specifications.
- Build out labour costs for each project, including sub-contractor packages and direct labour requirements.
- Develop the project programme, sequencing FF&E installation alongside the wider construction programme.
- Input into value engineering and buildability reviews.
- Liaise with clients, designers and main contractors during the pre-start phase.
- Delivery
- Take ownership of the project from mobilisation through to handover and snagging completion.
- Manage sub-contractor performance, attendance and quality of work.
- Chair site meetings, manage RFIs and ensure the programme is maintained.
- Conduct quality inspections and sign off completed works.
- Manage snagging and final handover to client.
- Commercial & Programme Management
- Track labour and material spend against budget.
- Manage the programme, identifying and mitigating delays.
- Maintain accurate site records, progress reports and client updates.
- Work with the QS / commercial team on variations and final accounts.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within FF&E, fit-out, or interiors projects.
- Solid knowledge of FF&E installation, sequencing and quality standards.
- Confident managing sub-contractors, suppliers and client stakeholders.
- IT literate — comfortable with MS Project, Excel and project management software.
- SMSTS (or equivalent) and CSCS card (Black or Gold) preferred.
- First Aid at Work and asbestos awareness desirable.
- Full UK driving licence.
