Persona: Agile Worker: 20% - 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office (hybrid working)

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 9-5 with some flexibility

Would you like to join our Housing Specialism’s Team as an ASB Case Worker and deliver an excellent service for residents? We are currently recruiting for 1 Permanent & 1 Fixed Term Contract ASB caseworker. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who is a customer-focused team player who wants to make a difference. As we navigate our way through some really exciting changes over the next three years, you will join us at a pivotal time as we focus on how we deal with ASB as a housing provider.

As the ASB Case Worker, you’ll provide effective and sensitive case management in severe and complex ASB cases and provide advice and support on lower-level ASB to colleagues. Here at L&Q we are passionate about providing a safe, secure and good quality home to our residents.

Your impact in the role:

To be successful in this role, you’ll implement a solutions approach to reducing harm and support residents to feel safe within their homes and communities. You will also work collaboratively with colleagues from across the business supporting problem solving initiatives to reduce and resolve ASB, and provide a proactive ASB service including investigation, enforcement and prevention activities as appropriate. You will be resolute in dealing with some of the most challenging ASB matters affecting our residents. Our customers are the most important part of our business and as a member of the Housing Management team, it is vital that you display passion and commitment to lead and deliver an excellent service every time. This will be measured against the high standards and values that we set across the organisation and department.

What you'll bring:

  • A strong collaborative working and problem-solving mindset to combat and be motivated by keeping promises to residents.
  • Previous experience, ideally from within a housing association or local authority background, working with communities targeting ASB problems.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills corresponding with internal and external partnerships.
  • Experience working with multi-agency partnerships i.e. Police, housing providers, local authorities.
  • A strong proactive approach to investigations.
  • Gathering evidence and managing complex cases.
  • An ability to take enforcement action if required within the context of both civil and criminal matters.
  • The knowledge and application of legal parameters applicable to housing associations to tackle ASB.
  • Excellent time management skills along with the ability to manage a complex workload whilst adhering to important deadlines.
  • Be empathetic, patient and resolute, often in challenging circumstances.
  • An ability to deal with distressed residents by providing comfort and reassurance.
  • Ability to engage with a diverse customer base is essential.
