Salary: Starting from £57,094 per annum (London weighted salary) or £49,502 per annum (Regional salary), dependant on experience

Grade: 10

Reporting Office: London, Stratford or Manchester, Trafford

Persona: Agile Worker: 20% - 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office/working location (hybrid working)

Join our Quality Assurance Team at L&Q:

L&Q is one of the UK’s largest housing associations and providers of social and affordable homes. We house around 250,000 people primarily across Greater London and Greater Manchester. Our purpose is simple – to provide social homes and landlord services that everyone can be proud of.

As a Quality Assurance Analyst it will be your responsibility to ensure software products and solutions are thoroughly tested and are fit for purpose, as well as ensuring they meet functional and non-functional requirements.

Your impact in the role:

  • Acts as the Testing & Quality Assurance lead in the squad or project team to which they are allocated.
  • Works with squad and project team members to identify test and QA requirements and develops test strategies and plans, covering functional, integration, and (where appropriate) user acceptance testing.
  • Be responsible for creation and execution of the tests, works with team members and carries out hands on testing themselves.
  • Monitors testing progress, errors, fixes, and re-testing.
  • Provide clear up to date and timely reporting and feedback to Squads and Project Managers to enable them to prioritise remaining work etc.
  • Work closely with scrum/agile and other Engineers to continually evolve the use of modern software development and deployment methodologies, including scripting, automated testing etc.

What you'll bring:

  • ISTQB Software Testing certification
  • Good understanding of and experience working with structured test methods and processes
  • Experience of test management and defect management using Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge and experience of best practice in both manual and automated testing
  • Experience of testing differing types of applications and scenarios, eg web, data and mobile applications.
  • Knowledge of Azure Data factory
  • Medium to strong SQL skill set (Understanding and writing)
  • Knowledge of Data model and dimensional model
  • Reporting skill set
  • Power BI and visualisation skillset - desirable
  • Previous experience of Data testing, ETL, testing large volume of data.
  • Experience of working with cross-functional delivery squad or scrum team working with Product Owners, Scrum Master etc.
