We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter for a two-day contract over the weekend. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical systems and machinery.

Job Specification:

  • Assemble and install mechanical components, machinery, and equipment
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
  • Carry out routine maintenance and inspections on mechanical systems
  • Diagnose faults and perform repairs efficiently
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
  • Ensure all work meets health and safety standards and company procedures
  • Work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines
  • Conduct testing and commissioning of equipment where required

Personal Specifications:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Experience with mechanical assembly and maintenance
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • NVQ/City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Rate negotiable depending on experience.
