An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Supply Planner to join an established manufacturing business.
You will be responsible for ensuring product availability across the UK and European network, balancing customer demand with inventory optimisation while proactively managing stock-related risks.
- Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain short, medium, and long-term supply plans
- Coordinate replenishment activities and raise purchase orders with external manufacturing and packing partners.
- Ensure stock levels are balanced to meet customer demand while supporting inventory and working capital targets.
- Monitor and manage stock health, identifying risks of excess, obsolete, or slow-moving inventory
- Manage inter-3PL stock transfers to optimise inventory availability across the network.
- Maintain and update planning system data, including lead times, minimum order quantities, and replenishment settings.
Investigate supply exceptions and stock shortages, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Review forecast updates and assess implications for supply plans.
- Provide regular demand and supply projections to key supply chain partners to support production planning.
Work closely with procurement, logistics, customer service, and commercial teams to ensure an effective end-to-end supply chain.
Requirements
- Experience within Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Production Planning, or Supply Chain Operations within FMCG
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent data interpretation and reporting skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Experience working within ERP/MRP environments.
- Ability to influence decisions across multiple functions.
