Location – Washington, Tyne & Wear

Zenith are excited to be working with our client who are an expanding North-East based Manufacturer and are recruiting for a Time-served Toolmaker with a background in Injection Moulding on a permanent basis.

Main duties include but are not limited to:

  • Finding and rectifying faults on injection moulding Tooling (IMM)
  • Maintenance / refurbishment of injection moulding tooling
  • Assisting with the development and improvement of injection moulding Tooling
  • Press and moulding tool setting
  • Working closely with Engineers and Technicians
  • Weekend overtime working is occasionally required

Candidate Profile

  • Time served & qualified to a minimum level of BTEC ONC is Essential
  • At least two years recent post apprenticeship experience
  • Experience in a similar role including a good knowledge of Injection Moulding
  • Able to work Continental Shifts
  • The ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team and assist in prioritization where applicable
  • Ability to perform when under pressure

Hours of work

Continental Shift Pattern working 6am until 6pm and 6pm to 6am working 12 hour shifts on a 4 weekly rotation. Average working week is 42 hours per week with every other weekend off.
