The Apprentice will work closely with the Management team and within the Office ensuring that all training is undertaken and, once qualified, is competent to perform the role with the minimum of supervision. As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

UK Food Packers specialises in contract packing and blending of ambient liquid sauces and marinades along with a variety of packing options for dry powders and crumbs. Recently relocated into a brand new purpose-built food-grade facility with associated warehousing, we work to ensure all policies and procedures are in line with BRCGS V9 so you can be confident that your products are handled and packed in a food-safe environment. We are also RSPO Approved.

What you’ll do at work:

  • Creation of labels using the information supplied by customers.
  • To print labels ensuring that all information is accurate.
  • To perform such tasks as the Management team may require.
  • To undertake the above duties whilst adhering to Health & safety, Food Safety and production standards.
  • Answering the phone, taking messages and passing information/messages to the appropriate department.
  • General admin duties to support the Office/Technical & Warehouse team.
  • Filing and archiving documents.
  • Stock control of labels and consumables.
  • Glass and plastic audit and calibration of some equipment.
  • Preparation and despatching product samples for customers and for testing.
