Successful applicants will undertake a Level 2 Apprenticeship programme in Lean Manufacturing at Highly Marelli. This includes on-the-job learning with industry experts, but we will also invest in you where you will learn all the skills it takes to succeed in the booming automotive industry.

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work:

  • Produce parts to exact specification in accordance with standard operations
  • Complete appropriate documentation accurately and efficiently
  • Support achievement of customer delivery targets
  • Identify current or potential production concerns to appropriate personnel
  • Support Kaizen activities
  • Adhere to health, safety and environmental systems
  • Comply with quality business standards and rework procedures
  • Comply with 5s strategy – sort, straighten, standardise, sweep, sustain
  • Support and work effectively as a team

Training:

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying. Working towards a Level 2 Lean Manufacturing Apprenticeship Standard training will take place at the employer’s site.

Essential qualifications:

  • GCSE English (Grade 4) essential
  • GCSE Maths (Grade 4) essential

Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have. They can adjust the apprenticeship to reflect what you already know.
