We are Zenith are working closely with our client who are based in the North-East and are looking to recruit a Maintenance Electrician to work Day Shift on a permanent basis.

Reporting directly to the Electrical Supervisor and work closely with them to organise workloads within their designated area, you will have a strong working knowledge of electrical systems and be responsible for carrying out installation, maintenance, fault-finding and diagnostic activities.

This includes installing and maintaining electrical components, wiring and control systems while adhering to all relevant health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report to the Electrical Supervisor regarding workload planning and progress within the assigned area.
  • Install, maintain and test electrical components, wiring and control systems.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults, including fault-finding, rewiring and system testing.
  • Work closely with the Procurement and Design teams to ensure all materials and documentation are available to meet production schedules.
  • Communicate with Inspection to ensure work is completed to the required quality standards.
  • Take responsibility for wiring lights, isolators, invertors control panels, fans, electric coils etc
  • Liaise with Inspection regarding non-conformances, rework activities and corrective actions.
  • Support adherence to company processes, procedures and quality standards.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as required.

Skills & Experience – Essential

  • Strong knowledge of electrical installation practices and health & safety requirements.
  • Fully time-served
  • Experience in fault-finding, diagnostics and electrical maintenance.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • IT literate, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and across departments.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 Qualification in Electrical Installation.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Certificate. 2391 Preferred but not essential
  • HNC/HND in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering desirable but not essential

It will be based within a Manufacturing Facility working on a Production Shop Floor Monday to Friday with an early finish every Friday*
