You’ll support the Health & Safety team to help create a safe, healthy and environmentally responsible workplace. This is a varied role combining office-based work with practical, on-site activity, giving you real exposure to health, safety and environmental management.
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work:
- Supporting risk assessments, inspections and safe systems of work.
- Assisting with health & safety training, inductions and toolbox talks.
- Helping investigate incidents and analyse health & safety data.
- Maintaining HSE records and documentation.
- Promoting safe working practices and a positive safety culture.
- Supporting environmental and sustainability initiatives.
Your training plan:
You will be studying a Safety, Health and Environment technician (Level 3) Apprenticeship standard over a 24-month period. This is a fully work-based programme; you will get allocated time to complete your apprenticeship work and also receive regular meetings with your training provider.
Essential qualifications:

- GCSE Maths (Grade 4) essential
