Zenith are recruiting for a client of ours who are a Manufacturer based here in the North‑East and are looking to welcome a time‑served Electrical Maintenance Technician into their team. Instead of spending your days dealing with the same breakdowns, you’ll split your time between hands‑on engineering and office‑based innovation. You’ll build on the foundations of your apprenticeship, sharpen your PLC skills, work closely with an experienced CAD Design Team, and get involved in real R&D projects that shape future products and processes. If you’re ambitious, curious, and eager to keep learning, this is the perfect environment to grow.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Supporting electrical maintenance, fault‑finding, and continuous improvement across production equipment
- Working alongside the CAD Design Team to help bring new ideas and designs to life
- Getting involved in R&D projects, contributing fresh thinking and technical input
- Developing your PLC knowledge with support from experienced engineers
- Learning how engineering, design, and manufacturing come together in a modern production environment
The person we are looking for:
- Recently completed an Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship (or similar qualification)
- A solid understanding of electrical maintenance principles
- Some exposure to PLCs — and a real desire to develop further
- A proactive, hands‑on approach with a willingness to learn
- Someone who wants variety, challenge, and a genuine career path
