You will help teams source the goods and services required to support day-to-day operations, working with requestors, internal departments and suppliers across a global supply chain. The role would suit someone with practical buying or procurement experience who is organised, customer-focused and comfortable balancing competing priorities.
Key Responsibilities

- Keep stakeholders informed of requisition progress, delivery status and any issues requiring attention.
- Use approved suppliers and purchasing agreements, consolidating orders where practical to reduce unnecessary transactions.
- Review and negotiate supplier quotations to achieve the best balance of cost, quality and delivery.
- Progress open requisitions, manage workload effectively and meet agreed deadlines while maintaining regular communication with stakeholders.
- Assist with resolving purchasing and delivery issues, including invoice discrepancies, short deliveries and other supply-related queries.
- Work closely with Purchasing, Project Management, Logistics, Contracts, Operations, Finance and Expediting teams.
- Follow applicable quality, health & safety, environmental and security requirements, while supporting colleagues in understanding purchasing processes and procedures.
Requirements
- Practical experience within buying, procurement or a related supply chain role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative and customer-focused approach.
- Ability to review purchasing requests accurately, organise competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Confidence working with suppliers and discussing quotations or commercial options.
- Experience using an ERP or purchasing system. Familiarity with Oracle, OEM suppliers or global supply chains would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Adaptable, proactive and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment.
