About us
We Are Your Friends is a London design agency that builds brands and designs ad campaigns for the live music industry.
We make the assets that sells shows, tours, festivals, venues, comedy, & spoken word, for promoters and producers.
Our work goes out fast and it goes out everywhere: social media, OOH, press ads, posters on the underground, & campaign identities that have to hold up from a digital crop to a six-sheet.
We're a small startup, which means the work you do here you'll see out in the wild within days of finishing.
The role
On a day to day you'll be taking briefs from the account and creative leads and running them through to delivery across campaign identity, tour artwork, poster design and digital assets.
This is a craft role first.
We care most about how you handle type, how you build a layout, and whether you can make an artist's image and a promoter's information co-exist on a page without one championing the other.
- What you'll be doing
- Designing show and tour campaign artwork across digital and print
- Poster design from headline tour art through to venue and festival collateral
- Building out campaigns into full asset suites (socials, OOH, press, print & web)
- Contributing to brand identity work for venues, festivals and promoters
- Preparing artwork for print and working with printers and media partners on specs
- Presenting your work to key stakeholders internally and client facing
- Working to tight deadlines
- Maintain accurate and up to date timesheets
What we're looking for
Essential
- 3–5 years' commercial design experience, agency or in-house
- Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite specifically Photoshop, Illustrator and In Design to a professional standard
- A genuinely strong eye for typography: you can set type well, and you can say why it works
- Confident with layout, hierarchy and composition across very different formats
- Solid understanding of colour theory and colour management. You know the difference between something that looks good on your screen and something that prints
- Comfortable across both digital and print, and able to move between the two in a day
- Experience of brand and identity work, not just artwork execution
- Able to present and explain your thinking and turn it around quickly
- Reliable with deadlines and organised with your own workload
- Comfortable using AI tools in a production workflow i. e. masking, retouching, upscaling.
- Nice to have
- Motion, animation or video editing (After Effects, Premiere)
- Web and digital product design (Figma, Webflow) useful but not expected
- Experience in or around the music, festival or live events industry
- Understanding of print production and artwork specs for outdoor and press
What we offer
- £36,000 – £44,000 depending on experience
- 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- Hybrid working - 3 days a week in the office (Tue - Thu)
- Pension: auto-enrolment after 3 months, contributions matched up to 5%
- Personal development budget for training, conferences and software
- Guestlist and tickets across our clients' shows (dependant on client approval)
