About the role. We’re looking for a proactive and organised Yard Operative to support the safe and efficient running of our busy Chester‑Le‑Street depot. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll take ownership of the yard area—ensuring machines are correctly managed from arrival through to dispatch. You’ll coordinate transport movements, maintain accurate machine documentation, and keep both the machine park and staging areas organised in line with the PDI schedule. You’ll also play a key role in keeping the workshop supplied with machines and ensuring the yard operates safely at all times.
