Warehouse Operative (Nights)
Job Description:
We are currently hiring Warehouse Operatives to join the night shift team in a busy distribution centre in Warrington.
This on-going position is ideal for individuals who are reliable, physically fit, and looking to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The Warehouse Operative is responsible for accurately sorting, palletising, and preparing customer orders for dispatch. This role ensures all orders are organised by route, safely handled, and ready for next-day delivery.

Pay Rate:
- Monday to Friday: £13 per hour
- Saturday: £13.50 per hour
- Sunday: £14 per hour
Shift Pattern:
- Saturday to Wednesday 22:30 – 07:00
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort customer boxes and allocate them to the correct delivery routes based on label information
- Palletise boxes accurately and securely for dispatch
- Use a manual pump truck to move pallets within the warehouse
- Perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the sortation area
- Follow operational processes and health & safety procedures
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
Skills and Competencies:
- Attention to detail
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Time management and ability to work to deadlines
- Flexibility to adapt to changes in workflow or shift priorities
Experience and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (desirable)
- Manual handling training (preferred but not essential – training provided)
- Familiarity with using pump trucks (desirable)
Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
- Warehouse-based role with exposure to ambient and chilled environments
- Role involves extended periods of standing, lifting, and moving boxes (up to 15–20kg)
- PPE provided and must be worn as required
