We’re looking for an experienced Technology Operations Supervisor to lead the day-to-day activities of our Construction Technology Department and help grow our integrated technology offering.

THE ROLE

You’ll lead and support our Special Applications and Field Support Engineers, overseeing technology installations within our depots and providing technical support to customers across the UK.

You’ll ensure systems are installed, commissioned and supported to the highest standards.

Working closely with customers, manufacturers and internal teams, you’ll combine technical expertise with team leadership, planning and customer support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and support the Special Applications and Field Support Engineering team.
  • Coordinate nationwide technical and customer support.
  • Plan and oversee installations, commissioning and machine handovers.
  • Ensure work meets company quality standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Provide technical leadership and escalation support.
  • Develop installation procedures and best-practice guidance.
  • Coordinate engineer training, development and manufacturer accreditation.
  • Work with Product Support, Aftersales and other teams to deliver complete technology solutions.
  • Support demonstrations, customer trials and product launches.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and OEM partners.
  • Support the wider Field Service team with Komatsu equipment servicing and repairs when specialist installation work is not required.
  • Travel nationally to support customers and our depot network.

You’ll oversee the installation and support of technology including

  • Komatsu Smart Construction and Smart Construction 3DMG
  • Intelligent Machine Control excavators and dozers
  • Leica, Trimble and Topcon machine-control systems
  • Engcon, Steelwrist and Rototilt tiltrotators
  • X-Watch and Safety Shield systems
  • Height, slew and Rated Capacity Indicator systems

ABOUT YOU

You’ll ideally have

  • Experience with construction technology or machine-control systems.
  • Strong knowledge of earthmoving and construction machinery.
  • Experience installing, commissioning or supporting technology systems.
  • Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience leading, supervising or mentoring engineers.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Flexibility to travel nationally, including occasional overnight stays.

Knowledge of Komatsu i MC, Leica, Trimble, Topcon, tiltrotators, construction safety systems, CAN Bus, hydraulics or electrical systems would be beneficial.
