We’re expanding our workshop operations and are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join our busy Bridgwater depot. This is a full-time, temporary ongoing role offering strong earning potential, regular overtime, and long-term continuity of work within a growing operation.
Pay, Bonus & Overtime
- £20.03 per hour
- £125 weekly bonus paid by Workforce for full weeks worked
- Overtime (after 47.5 hrs): £25.04 per hour
- Saturday rate: £25.04 per hour
- Sunday rate: £30.05 per hour
- Regular overtime available to significantly boost earnings
Shift Pattern
- Any 5 days out of 7
- Flexible weekday and weekend working

The Role
- You’ll be responsible for keeping our fleet safe, compliant, and road-ready:
- Service, inspect, and maintain HGVs to legal and company standards
- Prepare vehicles for MOTs and manage test centre logistics
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
- Repair minor accident damage
- Accurately record defects and completed work
- Proactively identify and resolve technical issues
- Work on vehicles, trailers, and ancillary equipment
- Deliver a high standard of customer service
What We’re Looking For
- Proven commercial HGV experience (essential)
- Relevant qualifications: City & Guilds (Parts 1–3), BTEC, IMI, or equivalent experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Organised, reliable, and professional approach
- Strong communication skills
- Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 minor points. No CD, DD, DR, or IN endorsements
