We’re expanding our workshop operations and are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join our busy Bridgwater depot. This is a full-time, temporary ongoing role offering strong earning potential, regular overtime, and long-term continuity of work within a growing operation.

Pay, Bonus & Overtime

  • £20.03 per hour
  • £125 weekly bonus paid by Workforce for full weeks worked
  • Overtime (after 47.5 hrs): £25.04 per hour
  • Saturday rate: £25.04 per hour
  • Sunday rate: £30.05 per hour
  • Regular overtime available to significantly boost earnings

Shift Pattern

  • Any 5 days out of 7
  • Flexible weekday and weekend working

The Role

  • You’ll be responsible for keeping our fleet safe, compliant, and road-ready:
  • Service, inspect, and maintain HGVs to legal and company standards
  • Prepare vehicles for MOTs and manage test centre logistics
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
  • Repair minor accident damage
  • Accurately record defects and completed work
  • Proactively identify and resolve technical issues
  • Work on vehicles, trailers, and ancillary equipment
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven commercial HGV experience (essential)
  • Relevant qualifications: City & Guilds (Parts 1–3), BTEC, IMI, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Organised, reliable, and professional approach
  • Strong communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 minor points. No CD, DD, DR, or IN endorsements
