HGV Class 1 Driver

Overview

Class 1 Driver – Droitwich We are currently recruiting for experienced HGV Class 1 drivers on an Permanent basis to meet the needs of the business at our busy Droitwich depot. The role consists of refrigerated trunking and multi-drop deliveries to stores. Some locations require using a tail-lift to push and pull products. Immediate starts after successful assessment and induction. PERMANENT CONTRACTS.

Vacancies

• Start Times between 22:00 – 01:00
• Various shift patterns available, including at least one day over the weekend

Pay

Day pay rates

• Monday – Friday £16.63 (overtime after 47.5 hrs £18.71)
• Saturday £18.71
• Sunday and Bank Holidays £24.95

Nights pay rates

• Monday – Friday £19.00 (overtime after 47.5 hrs £21.38)
• Saturday £21.38
• Sunday and Bank Holidays £28.50

30-minute break deducted per shift only!

Day to day duties

• Driving within the WTD and EU regs and rules
• Prepping vehicles for delivery
• Completing vehicle checks
• Refueling vehicles
• Multi-drop deliveries
• Interdepot and RDC deliveries
• Manual handling of trolleys
• Maintain high levels of customer service and ensure orders are fulfilled on time and in full

Requirements

• At least 6 months of Class 1 driving experience
• Excellent communication skills
• UK Driving Licence with a Cat C+E entitlement
• Digi & CPC Card, no more than 6 points for minor offences
• Immediate start for successful candidates
