Contract: TEMP - PERM.

Role Summary
Responsible for planning and coordinating daily HGV deliveries and collections, ensuring vehicles and drivers are utilised efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service, safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities

Plan daily HGV routes, loads and driver schedules.

Allocate vehicles and drivers to jobs efficiently.

Monitor deliveries and deal with delays or operational issues.

Liaise with drivers, customers, subcontractors and depots.

Ensure drivers' hours, vehicle restrictions and transport regulations are considered.

Optimise vehicle utilisation and minimise empty running.

Maintain accurate transport records and update planning systems.

Communicate changes and provide customers with delivery updates.
Requirements

Previous experience in HGV transport planning or a similar logistics role.

Good knowledge of UK road networks and HGV regulations.

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Confident communicator with good attention to detail.

Experience with transport management/planning software is desirable.
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive salary of £30,000 £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
