Class 1 HGV Drivers – Automotive Logistics
AMCO is recruiting experienced Class 1 HGV Drivers for our Coventry depot, working within the fast-paced automotive logistics sector.
We are looking for drivers for both day and night shifts, delivering automotive components to major automotive manufacturers.
Pay Rates
- Day Drivers – £15.60 per hour
- Night Drivers – £17.10 per hour
The Role
As a Class 1 Driver, you will play an important role in keeping automotive production moving by delivering parts safely, efficiently and on time.
The role involves sequenced automotive deliveries, working to strict schedules and customer requirements.
Shift patterns - Monday to Friday or Monday to Thursday.
Start times - 05:00, 06:00, 09:00, 15:00, 16:00 and 19:00
Your Responsibilities
- Safely operating Class 1 HGV vehicles.
- Delivering automotive components to Jaguar Land Rover and Bentley.
- Completing sequenced deliveries within required timeframes.
- Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks.
- Completing delivery paperwork accurately.
- Following all company, customer and site-specific safety procedures.
- Maintaining a professional relationship with customers and site teams.
- Working reliably and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence.
- Previous HGV driving experience.
- Reliable and professional approach.
- Excellent timekeeping and attention to detail.
- Ability to work to strict delivery schedules.
- Good communication skills.
- Previous experience in automotive logistics, sequencing or just-in-time deliveries would be an advantage.
