As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Parts Supervisor to join our Cardiff depot.

The Role

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you'll be responsible for leading the day-to-day operation of the parts department, ensuring customers receive an outstanding service whilst supporting the depot's service and sales teams.

You'll play a key role in identifying the correct parts, managing stock effectively and building lasting relationships with customers.

We're looking for someone who enjoys taking the initiative, spotting opportunities to improve processes and helping to drive parts sales through excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong, professional relationships with customers, understanding their requirements and providing expert parts advice.
  • Identify and source the correct parts efficiently, ensuring customer downtime is kept to a minimum.
  • Supervise the day-to-day operation of the parts department.
  • Pick, pack and dispatch customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Receive deliveries, checking parts and documentation before storing stock correctly.
  • Manage stock levels and ensure effective stock control.
  • Process warranty claims, parts returns and supplier returns.
  • Resolve invoice queries promptly and professionally.
  • Work closely with the Service and Sales teams to support the smooth running of the depot.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, customer service and parts sales.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, organisation and health & safety.

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with customers and takes pride in delivering an excellent service.

You’ll ideally have

  • Previous experience within a Parts Advisor, Parts Supervisor or similar parts role.
  • Experience identifying mechanical or construction equipment parts (essential).
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills (essential).
  • A proactive approach with the confidence to take ownership of the department.
  • Good commercial awareness and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to prioritise workload and remain calm under pressure.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Warehouse or stock control experience.
  • A Forklift Licence would be advantageous, although training can be provided.
