Bellshill Depot Full Time | Temp to Perm Competitive Pay Rates + £20 Weekly Supplementary Payment
We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver to join our busy operation in
Bellshill .
This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity offering regular hours, competitive rates of pay, and the chance to secure a permanent position with a leading logistics operation.
The role is a combination of Terberg shunting duties within the depot yard and Class 1 trunking work , so applicants must be comfortable carrying out both aspects of the role.
- Shift Pattern
- 5 shifts over 7 days
- Rotating days, afternoons, and nights
- Weekend working is required
- Applicants must be flexible with start times and shift patterns to meet operational requirements
- Pay Rates
Day pay rates
- Monday – Friday £17.30 (overtime after 47.5hrs £19.46)
- Saturday £19.46
- Sunday and Bank Holidays £25.95
Nights pay rates
- Monday – Friday £19.77 (overtime after 47.5hrs £21.92)
- Saturday £21.92
- Sunday and Bank Holidays £28.41
- Additional
- £20 weekly supplementary payment
- Only 30-minute unpaid break deducted per shift
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Terberg unit to safely move trailers and vehicles around the depot.
- Position vehicles and trailers in designated locations.
- Carry out vehicle and trailer checks in line with company procedures.
- Ensure all yard movements are completed safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to site health & safety and compliance requirements at all times.
- Complete Class 1 trunking work as required.
- Complete all relevant paperwork and records accurately.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism and safe working practices.
Requirements
- Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous Terberg shunting experience is preferred.
- Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations.
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
- Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently.
