Are you a compassionate and motivated individual who wants to change people's lives? Our team in Truro is looking for a Young Persons Worker to join them in providing high-quality recovery care to a diverse client group. If you are enthusiastic, creative and passionate about helping others, we'd love to hear from you.

As a Young Persons Worker in Cornwall, you'll join us on a starting salary of £28,000 per annum (this includes a £1,000 per annum allowance). This will increase each year in line with our pay progression bands.

In Cornwall, you'll be part of a dedicated local team supporting people across our communities to make positive, lasting changes. At WithYou, we're committed to supporting our staff just as much as the people we work alongside. You'll have access to a supportive and inclusive team environment and a range of wellbeing benefits to help you thrive both professionally and personally.

This is a Part Time, fixed term contract until 31/03/2027. You will be expected to work 22.5 hours per week Tuesday - Thursday. This role will cover West Cornwall.

This is not a standard recovery role. This is an opportunity to be part of a growing virtual service that is transforming how people access alcohol and drug support across one of the largest and most rural areas.

As a Virtual Recovery Worker, you will deliver high quality interventions to people who may never have engaged with traditional services. Through video, phone and digital platforms, you will complete assessments, deliver structured brief interventions and provide recovery focused support that genuinely changes lives.

You will be trusted to work autonomously, supported by strong clinical governance and experienced leadership. Your practice will directly influence how our virtual model continues to evolve.

  • You will widen access for people facing geographical and social barriers.
  • You will work flexibly and remotely while remaining fully connected to a skilled team.
  • You will be part of an innovative service with clear strategic backing.
  • You will develop expertise in digital recovery delivery, an area of growing national focus.
  • You will have genuine scope to shape practice, pathways and improvement.

WithYou provides free and confidential support, without judgement, to more than 100,000 people every year experiencing challenges with drugs, alcohol and mental health across England and Scotland.

We're looking for a compassionate and motivated individual, with an exceptional ability to build meaningful relationships. You will have demonstrable experience working within the health, social care, criminal justice or other specialist setting, or a clear motivation for wanting to work in the drug and alcohol sector. A successful track record of providing efficient and reliable customer service is essential.

You will be highly organised, have excellent communication skills, and be able to manage your time effectively. You will work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure a high-quality service is maintained. Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about what we do and has a positive and engaging approach to our clients and key stakeholders.

  • Have attained ONC/NVQ level 3 or be willing to achieve this within 12 months.
  • Have demonstrable experience of working or volunteering in health, social care, criminal justice, or other specialist setting.
  • Successful track record of working or volunteering with people who have experienced substance misuse issues.
  • Have a driving license with access to a vehicle. You will need to ensure business use is added to your insurance policy.
  • Have the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
  • Be able to work effectively in a team, supporting others when needed.
  • Be resilient under pressure and able to prioritise your work.
  • Have good oral and written communication skills.
  • Be IT competent.
  • Able to be flexible with your working hours on occasion.
  • Be happy to support other With You locations when needed.
