Join WithYou as our Medical Lead in Cornwall. Our team in Cornwall is recruiting for an experienced Medical Lead to join them in providing high quality recovery care to a diverse service user group. This is a part time, permanent position working 18.75 hours per week with a salary of circa £92,735.70 per annum pro rata depending on experience and qualifications. This includes a location allowance of £1,000 per annum pro rata.

We are looking for a Medical Lead to work across our Cornwall service. You will be responsible for providing medical leadership in order to ensure the delivery of a high quality medical service. You will lead a clinical team consisting of doctors, GPs, Nurses and Pharmacists in a large integrated complex needs service.
You will be working closely with and reporting to the Head of Service Delivery, taking the lead in clinical governance, to ensure that evidence-based best medical practice is delivered in line with national, organisational and local standards. You will provide professional accountability and supervision to medical staff in the service.
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Has an excellent understanding of integrated complex needs services and the potential challenges this presents.
- Is solution focused and has a track record of improving services and outcomes for people with complex needs.
- Has a demonstrable track record of developing open multi-disciplinary working relationships to ensure staff operate in line with We Are With You's values and work collaboratively with internal colleagues and external partner organisations.
Essential Skills:
- You will be a compassionate and motivated doctor, holding GMC registration, with the ability to connect quickly with the people we support, treating them respectfully and with dignity.
- We're looking for substantial experience working within the substance misuse sector, as well as experience working in a supervisory role within a multidisciplinary team.
- You will be highly organised, with excellent communication skills and able to manage your time effectively.
- It is important that you have sound knowledge of current health and social care issues, with the specific knowledge around the relationship between offending and substance misuse.
- Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about what we do, with a positive and engaging approach to our service users and staff.
You will have:
- RCGP Certificate Level 1 in Management of Drug Misuse
- RCGP Part 1 in Management of Alcohol Problems in Primary Care
- Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or equivalent GP certification + RCGP Certificate Level 2 in Management of Drug Misuse
- OST prescribing experience
- A successful track record of responsibility and development of others
- A driving licence and access to a vehicle.
