Our team in Richmond is looking for a Team Leader to join them in providing high-quality recovery care to a diverse client group. At Richmond, WithYou works closely with lead provider, South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and partners, St Mungo's and the charity CDARS (Community Drug and Alcohol Recovery Services) providing free and confidential support to adults in Richmond experiencing challenges with drugs and alcohol. As a leading charity supporting people with drug, alcohol, and mental health challenges, we operate over 80 services across England and Scotland, providing free and confidential support to more than 100,000 people each year.
This is a full time, permanent position and the salary follows a fixed incremental pay scale. This starts at £34,000 per year, rising each year in line with our salary progression bands, up to £40,000 per year. This is inclusive of a £4,000 per year inner London weighting payment. In this role you will lead a dedicated team in providing evidence-based psychosocial interventions, helping clients build resilience, exploring the root causes of substance misuse and achieving meaningful change. Your leadership will help your team deliver a high level of performance by meeting targets and KPIs set to ensure we are providing the best service to our clients and improve treatment outcomes, whilst creating a supportive and inclusive environment. You will directly link in to the Service Manager, as well as working collaboratively with other Team Leaders, Operations Managers and our partner organisations, to ensure clear communication and meet the delivery needs of this service to support our clients to achieve positive outcomes.
This post requires excellent leadership skills to work innovatively and confidently. You will support staff in high performing recovery work, overseeing quality assurance and safeguarding, with the capacity to work within competing demands and tight timescales.

Essential Skills
Managing and developing your team to reach its full potential will be key to your success and will be your passion. You will motivate your team to deliver exceptional services to those we support and will have the ability to connect quickly with both staff and service users, treating them respectfully and with dignity. This is a busy team, with multiple priorities ongoing, so it's important that you are highly organised and able to manage your time effectively. You and your team will be responsible for delivering against targets, always ensuring the service is complying with all of the necessary requirements that arise from working in a social care setting. There'll be data analysis and administration tasks to deal with too, but that's all part of this busy and varied job that you take in your stride.
You will have:
- ONC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent or a commitment to complete within 18-months
- Experience working in the health, social care or criminal justice setting and of working in partnership with a range of statutory and non-statutory agencies
- A successful track record of management responsibility and development of others
- An understanding of the issues facing people experiencing challenges in relation to drug/alcohol and/or mental health challenges
- Knowledge of health and safety, including assessing high risk situations
- Ability to build effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Be results driven and possess analytical skills
