Join WithYou as a Pharmacy Technician in Rotherham. ROADS - Carnson House is seeking a Pharmacy Technician who has a passion for working with people who use drugs and alcohol to join their experienced and friendly clinical team. ROADS - Carnson House provides free and confidential services, without judgement, to adults and young people facing challenges with drugs and alcohol across Rotherham. Your expertise will support clients on their recovery journey. This is a full time, fixed term position until 22/01/2027. There will be occasional Saturday working required for this role. The team are happy to consider less than full time hours or working on a job share basis.

Pharmacy Technicians form the heart of the Medicines Management team. Working as a Pharmacy Technician in a WithYou service is a varied and rewarding role. The successful candidate will have hands-on involvement in all aspects of clinical operations, from harm reduction work (including needle and syringe provision services) to working closely alongside clinicians and community pharmacies to ensure continuity of service to our clients.

Rotherham Alcohol and Drug Service (provided by WithYou) provides free and confidential support to adults and young people experiencing challenges with drugs and alcohol. The service works closely with other local organisations including South Yorkshire Police and the Police and Crime Commissioner, The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, HMP Doncaster, MESMAC, community pharmacies and local GPs, commissioned by Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council.

Requirements:

  • To be a registered Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC
  • An NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy Services BTEC Pharmacy Technician (or equivalent)
  • Experience of providing medicine related advice to clients/carers
  • To be comfortable using IT and gathering, monitoring and analysing data
  • Be able to work alone but also recognise when to refer in line with your personal/professional limitations
  • Able to travel to different locations as and when required
