Are you passionate about supporting people to make positive changes in their lives? We’re looking for an experienced Drug and Alcohol Worker to lead an exciting new pilot project in Redcar and Cleveland. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a collaborative initiative between WithYou, Harbour and Teesside Mind, bringing together expertise in substance use and mental health to make a real difference in the community.
As a leading charity supporting people with drug, alcohol, and mental health challenges, we operate over 80 services across England and Scotland, providing free and confidential support to more than 100,000 people each year. You’ll play a key role in delivering innovative, person-centred support to individuals affected by drugs and alcohol.
The role offers flexible working hours:
- Weekday shifts between 4pm and 9pm (Monday–Friday)
- Weekend shifts between 10am and 4pm (Saturday–Sunday)
The position is based across WithYou and Harbour sites, with the opportunity to work closely with Teesside Mind’s mental health services. For candidates seeking a full-time position, there’s the option to combine this role with remote work through WithYou’s Virtual Services Team, offering even greater flexibility. On-site training will be required during daytime hours. This pilot is expected to end on the 31st March 2026.
As a Recovery Worker, we offer a starting salary of £25,000, rising each year in line with our pay progression salary bands, rising to £30,000 per year. For further details please reach out to a member of the recruitment team via recruitment@wearewithyou.org.uk.
