Our team in Rotherham is looking for Recovery Workers to join them in providing high-quality recovery care to a diverse client group. If you are enthusiastic, creative and passionate about helping others, we\'d love to hear from you.
As a leading charity supporting people with drug, alcohol, and mental health challenges, we operate over 80 services across England and Scotland, providing free and confidential support to more than 100,000 people each year. Rotherham Alcohol and Drug Service (provided by WithYou) provides free and confidential support to adults and young people experiencing challenges with drugs and alcohol. The service works closely with local organisations and is commissioned by Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council.
Responsibilities
- Support clients to identify their goals, ambitions, and passions.
- Collaborate to create the best treatment plan and guide clients on their path to recovery.
- Provide continuity of care through partnership working, care coordination, key work responsibilities, and intervention delivery.
- Manage an active caseload and connect quickly with clients, ensuring they are treated with respect and dignity.
- Work with two vacancies: one for young people under 18 and one for those aged 18-25.
Essential Skills
- Compassionate and motivated, with an exceptional ability to build meaningful relationships.
- Demonstrable experience in health, social care, criminal justice, or a related setting, or clear motivation for working in the drug and alcohol sector.
- Proven track record of providing efficient and reliable customer service.
- Highly organised with excellent communication skills and ability to manage time effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to maintain a high-quality service.
- Passionate about the work with a positive and engaging approach to clients and stakeholders.
