About the Role
Our Recovery Workers play a vital role in supporting clients to identify their goals, ambitions and passions. You will work with them to create the best treatment plan for their needs, guiding them on their path to recovery. This is a frontline role at WithYou, where you will provide continuity of care through partnership working, care coordination, key responsibilities and intervention delivery. You will manage an active caseload, connect quickly with clients and ensure they are treated with respect and dignity. One of the vacancies is a duty worker at our Penzance office, responsible for answering phone calls in a busy duty office and responding to clients who utilise our drop‑in service.
Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality recovery care to a diverse client group.
- Identify client goals, aspirations and passions.
- Create and implement individualised treatment plans.
- Maintain an active caseload and manage time effectively.
- Collaborate with outreach, hospital, clinical, criminal justice and residential rehabilitation services.
- Respond to drop‑in service clients and telephone enquiries.
- Work occasional Saturdays and support other WithYou locations when required.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Attained ONC/NVQ level 3 or willing to achieve within 12 months.
- Demonstrable experience in health, social care, criminal justice or another specialist setting.
- Successful track record of working with people who have experienced substance misuse issues.
- Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.
- Strong relationship‑building skills with clients and colleagues.
- Team‑working skills, supporting others when needed.
- Resilience under pressure and ability to prioritise tasks.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- IT competency.
- Flexibility with working hours and occasional Saturdays.
