Join our team as a Training and Participation Lead in Lancashire. As a Training and Participation Lead in our Lancashire Young People’s service, you will build and maintain community relationships and support our teams and peer mentors to build connections with diverse communities. Our Training and Participation Lead will deliver face‑to‑face and online training to professionals from a range of partner agencies, helping to increase awareness around substances and delivering the harm reduction messages.
Main duties of the job:
- Deliver face‑to‑face and online training to professionals from a range of partner agencies.
- Help increase awareness around substances and deliver the harm reduction messages.
- Build and maintain community relationships; support our teams and peer mentors to build connections with diverse communities.
Essential Skills:
- A Volunteer Management qualification, or a Training qualification, or equivalent, or be willing to achieve this within 18 months.
- Experience of planning and delivering training programmes.
- Experience of working in partnership with a range of statutory and non‑statutory agencies.
- A thorough knowledge of safeguarding and boundaries, meaningfully involving young people in co‑production and implementation.
- The ability to build effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- A proven track record of working as an individual and as part of a team sharing skills, experience and knowledge with others.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Resilience and strong prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing demands.
- Strong IT skills.
- The ability to visit other locations in order to deliver the services required – use of a car for business purposes is required.
