WithYou is a substance misuse service in Lancashire for young people up to the age of 25. We deliver 1:1 and group work, alongside information sessions and drop-in services for young people in the local area.
About the Role
This apprenticeship will provide an opportunity for learning, development and work experience and offers a supported approach to new career opportunities and further education in the drug and alcohol sector. As part of this role, you will gain experience of the Lancashire Young Persons treatment system, assist in assessing user needs and providing positive interventions that encourage, motivate and assist service users to address their substance misuse. This is a great opportunity to learn more about providing support, information, training, education and guidance to young people, as well as working to improve access to appropriate services.
You will be working in partnership with the local authority and will work between With You offices and the local authority offices, therefore a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is required for this role.
This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 9.00am and 5.00pm. This position is fixed term for 12 months.

Requirements:
- Commitment to complete a level 3 Substance Misuse qualification within 6 months of starting the role
- The ability to listen, share information and give and receive support and advice
- Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to speak and write clearly
- The ability to work effectively on your own and as part of a team, sharing your skills, knowledge and experience
- An interest in working with Young People and substance misuse
- Good organisational skills to be able to manage your time effectively, prioritising your work and being able to cope with the pressure of competing demands
- The ability to record and maintain accurate case details in a timely manner
- Effective IT skills, able to use different packages and digital media
