Our team in HMP Lincoln is looking for a Recovery Worker to join them in providing high-quality recovery care to a diverse client group. As a leading charity supporting people with drug, alcohol, and mental health challenges, we operate over 80 services across England and Scotland, providing free and confidential support to more than 100,000 people each year.

As a Recovery Worker, we offer a starting salary of £25,000 per annum. The salary for this role is on an incremental scale and will rise each year in line with our pay progression salary bands, to £30,000 per annum. For further details please reach out to a member of the recruitment team.

About the Role: Our Recovery Workers play a vital role in supporting clients to identify their goals, ambitions, and passions. You'll work with them to create the best treatment plan for their needs and to guide them on their path to recovery. This is a frontline role at WithYou, where you will provide continuity of care through effective partnership working, care coordination, key work responsibilities, and intervention delivery. You will manage an active caseload, connecting quickly with clients and ensuring they're always treated with respect and dignity.

Please note the working hours for this role are 37.5 hours per week over 7 days (including weekend working).

Requirements: We're looking for a compassionate and motivated individual, with an exceptional ability to build meaningful relationships. You will have demonstrable experience working within the health, social care, criminal justice or other specialist setting, or a clear motivation for wanting to work in the drug and alcohol sector. A successful track record of providing efficient and reliable customer service is essential.

You will be highly organised, have excellent communication skills, and be able to manage your time effectively. You will work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure a high-quality service is maintained. Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about what we do and has a positive and engaging approach to our clients and key stakeholders. To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have attained ONC/NVQ level 3 or be willing to achieve this within 12 months
  • Have some experience of working in a health, social care or related setting
  • Have the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues alike
  • Be able to work effectively in a team, supporting others when needed
  • Be resilient under pressure and able to prioritise your work
  • Have good oral and written communication skills
  • Be comfortable using IT and digital media
  • Be organised and able to manage your time effectively
  • Be flexible with your working hours on occasion
  • Be happy to support other WithYou locations when needed
  • You will also need to meet our safeguarding requirements of satisfactory Prison Vetting and an Enhanced DBS check.
