Join us as a Recovery Worker in Bournemouth. Our team in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole are recruiting for a Recovery Worker to join them in providing high quality recovery care to a diverse service user group. As a leading charity supporting people with drug, alcohol, and mental health challenges, we operate over 80 services across England and Scotland, providing free and confidential support to more than 100,000 people each year. As a Recovery Worker, we offer a starting salary of £25,000 per annum. The salary for this role is on an incremental scale and will rise each year in line with our pay progression salary bands, to £30,000 per annum.

You will be working at our drug and alcohol service in the assessment team, assessing clients at the first point of contact. You will be supporting clients to make changes through keyworking, one-to-one sessions and facilitating workshops. Our Recovery Workers work with our service users to help them to determine what their goals, ambitions and passions are, working with them to create the best treatment plan for their needs and to get them onto the path to recovery.

This is an integral role for With You - as a frontline worker, you will deliver continuity of care through effective partnership working, care coordination, delivery of interventions and key work responsibilities. You will manage an active caseload of service users, connecting quickly with the people we support, treating them respectfully and with dignity. The working hours are 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday with occasional evening and weekend work as required.

Essential Skills

You will be a compassionate and motivated individual, with an exceptional ability to build meaningful relationships. We’re looking for demonstrable experience working within the health, social care, criminal justice or other specialist setting, ideally with those with substance misuse issues. You will be highly organised, with excellent communication skills and able to manage your time effectively, working as part of a team to ensure a high quality service is maintained. Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about what we do, with a positive and engaging approach to our service users and key stakeholders.
