Join us as a Counsellor in Bournemouth. We are currently recruiting for a qualified Counsellor to join us in providing high quality recovery care to a diverse service user group. Do you want to enable our recovery workers to move people through their substance use recovery journey more effectively? As a leading charity supporting people with drug, alcohol and mental health challenges, we operate over 80 services across England and Scotland, providing free and confidential support to more than 100,000 people each year.

About the Role

Our Counsellors are an integral part of our team, your role is to provide a safe, confidential and encouraging therapeutic environment. As part of your role, you will hold a nominated caseload of service users with co-existing substance use and mental health needs. This is a permanent, part time role, working 22.5 hours per week (3x 7.5 hours a day). As part of this role, you will hold a Driver's Licence with access to a car.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience of working as a counsellor.
  • Knowledge and understanding of health and safety, including assessing high-risk situations for clients.
  • Able to meet WithYou's safeguarding requirements of a satisfactory enhanced DBS/PVG certificate.
