Job Purpose
The Internal Recruiter will be responsible for managing the full end-to-end recruitment process for the organisation, ensuring that the provider attracts, selects, and appoints high-quality candidates who align with the organisation’s values and regulatory standards. Working closely with hiring managers, the HR Advisor, and the HR Manager, the role will ensure recruitment is efficient, compliant, and responsive to the needs of services. The postholder will also support the development of new recruitment channels and partnerships to diversify and strengthen the organisation’s talent pipeline. All recruitment activity must be conducted in accordance with safe recruitment practices, employment legislation, and the requirements of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for regulated services.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment Delivery (End-to-End Recruitment)
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from vacancy approval through to offer stage.
- Work with hiring managers to understand role requirements and create clear job adverts and role descriptions.
- Source candidates using a range of recruitment channels including job boards, social media, and sector networks.
- Screen applications and shortlist candidates against job specifications and organisational values.
- Arrange and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
- Conduct initial candidate screening interviews where required.
- Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process to ensure a positive candidate experience.
- Prepare recruitment documentation and ensure appropriate records are maintained.
- Liaise with the HR Advisor to ensure a smooth transition from offer to onboarding, including the completion of required employment checks.
- Identify and develop new recruitment channels to attract a wider range of candidates.
- Establish partnerships with local schools, colleges, and training providers to promote careers in social care.
- Develop relationships with local authority employment and recruitment services.
- Attend career fairs, community events, and recruitment open days where appropriate.
- Support initiatives that encourage entry into the care sector (work placements, apprenticeships, etc.).
- Monitor recruitment trends and recommend improvements to recruitment approaches.
- Ensure recruitment practices align with regulatory requirements and safe recruitment standards.
- Ensure all recruitment activity complies with CQC regulations and guidance.
- Support the completion of safer recruitment checks including references, right to work, and employment history verification.
- Ensure recruitment records are maintained in line with regulatory and organisational requirements.
