Job summary
You'll be part of a multidisciplinary Pathfinder team, working alongside highly specialised psychotherapists, psychiatry, complex case workers and low-intensity mental health practitioners, as well as partners across Greater Manchester's sexual harm services. It's an opportunity to practise social work in a genuinely collaborative way, combining trauma-informed support with practical problem-solving and helping services work better together around the person. We're particularly interested in someone who can engage people who may not always find traditional services easy to access. You'll need to be professionally curious, comfortable working with complexity and able to balance compassionate relationship-building with safeguarding, risk and professional boundaries. The role requires Social Work England registration and a Level 6 or above Social Work qualification, along with experience supporting or advocating for adults and/or young people experiencing vulnerability. Experience within the criminal justice system, VCSE sector or working with sexual harm is welcomed but is not essential. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who shares our belief that no male survivor should be left behind and who wants to work creatively with survivors and our partners to make that a reality.
