As National Account Manager, you will play a key commercial role within a high-growth consumer wellness brand operating across the UK retail landscape. This is an opportunity to join a premium, category-leading business at a pivotal stage of its growth journey, with scope to support international expansion over time.
You will take ownership of strategic national retail partnerships, driving profitable growth through strong relationship management, commercial planning, and financial oversight. This role suits a commercially astute account manager with experience in fast-paced FMCG or consumer brands, particularly within health, wellness, or adjacent categories.
Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, you will translate commercial strategy into effective execution across Joint Business Planning, promotions, and product activation, while maintaining a sharp focus on performance and brand standards.
Responsibilities:- National Retail Account Management
- Own and develop relationships with key UK retail partners, acting as the primary commercial contact
- Lead regular account reviews, ensuring strong performance, alignment, and long-term partnership growth
- Develop and execute account plans aligned with wider business objectives
- Deliver against revenue, margin, distribution, and growth targets
- Identify and capitalise on new opportunities within existing and prospective retail partners
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and category performance to inform strategy
- Create, manage, and deliver Joint Business Plans with national retailers
- Own JBP investment, tracking spend, ROI, and promotional effectiveness
- Manage account-level financial performance including forecasting, budgeting, and profitability
- Partner closely with finance to support accurate reporting and informed decision-making
- Ensure optimal product ranging, placement, and visibility across retail environments
- Collaborate with marketing to deliver promotions, launches, and in-store activations
- Support retail teams with product knowledge, training, and commercial insight
- Lead negotiations on pricing, terms, and commercial agreements
- Ensure compliance with contractual commitments and internal policies
- Work closely with marketing, supply chain, product, and finance teams
- Share customer insight and feedback to inform wider business strategy
- Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular performance reporting
- Proven experience in a retail or national account management role within FMCG or consumer goods
- Experience managing major UK retail accounts; exposure to health, wellness, or premium consumer categories is advantageous. Boots, Superdrug and Holland & Barrett experience ideal.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with hands-on experience managing JBPs and P&L performance
- A confident, credible negotiator with excellent relationship-building skills
- Analytical and data-driven, able to translate insight into clear commercial action
- Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
- A collaborative communicator who works effectively across functions and with senior stakeholders
