About the Job
We have an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager to join our team in our Eastbourne office. This role would ideally suit a Project Manager from a construction background, who has previously worked on domestic, residential and commercial projects and who is able to oversee multiple projects through to completion. Whether you are a recent construction Project Manager or graduate, we provide in‑house training and the chance to work on a wide range of projects in a domestic and commercial practice.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate an understanding of client requirements and assist with the tendering and procurement of subcontractors for projects.
- Project administration duties, learn to manage multiple projects simultaneously and assist the lead Project Manager with management and closure of all live projects on site.
- Confirm building plans with surveyors, architects and engineers.
- Hire and manage subcontractors and construction workers.
- Create work schedules so projects are completed before deadlines.
- Purchase or hire building equipment and materials.
- Oversee building projects to ensure staff are working safely, productively and to a high standard.
- Monitor construction budget to minimise overspending.
- Provide daily progress reports to clients via phone, email or meetings in person.
- Negotiate with vendors, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Assist colleagues in the overall direction, planning, control, delivery and completion of specific projects or tasks.
- Oversee multiple projects and gain valuable experience.
Qualifications
- Computer literate and competent in using spreadsheets with an aptitude for learning and using other Microsoft / IT systems.
- Good team player with a strong ability to work independently.
- Confident client‑facing communicator both verbally and in writing.
- Driven and ambitious to achieve through understanding the needs and demands of stakeholders and how to meet and exceed their expectations with high attention to detail.
- Must have a full driving license.
