Senior Quantitative Researcher - Financial Decision Making - Outside IR35 Contract
We're looking for a Senior Quantitative Researcher to join a team building quantitative models to support complex investment and credit decision-making. This is a hands-on research role for someone who has genuine experience developing models and understands the underlying mathematical and statistical methodology behind them.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and develop quantitative and predictive models to support investment and credit decisions
Apply machine learning, statistical modelling and forecasting techniques to complex financial datasets
Test and validate models, with a focus on robustness, performance and real-world applicability
Collaborate with investment and technical stakeholders to translate complex problems into practical quantitative solutions
Support research and proof-of-concept work exploring new modelling and AI approaches.
Key Skills:
Quantitative research experience within Front Office Investment Banking, Asset Management, Hedge Funds, Systematic Trading or similar financial markets environments
Strong understanding of the mathematical and statistical foundations behind machine learning and quantitative models
Experience developing, testing and validating predictive models using real-world financial data
Ability to explain how models work and the methodology used to build, evaluate and improve them
Experienced with modern AI and LLM's
Private Credit or credit modelling experience would be beneficial (non-mandatory)
Location: Fully remote
Duration: Long-term contract with extensions
