Kenny Recruit are looking for a Financial Accountant to join one of their clients on a permanent basis. As the Financial Accountant, you will report into the Finance Manager and be responsible for one entity, completing the month-end process as well as overseeing accounts payable.
Although this role is predominantly remote, you will work closely with the finance team based in London. As you will also be responsible for payroll, previous payroll experience is required.
Working hours: 9.00am to 5.30pm
Location: London/Remote
Salary: up to £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + benefits + study support
Key Responsibilities
- Produce periodic management and statutory accounts
- Carry out balance sheet reviews and reconciliations
- Analyse financial variances and investigate underlying drivers
- Provide support throughout the external audit process
- Take care of accounts payable activities
- Prepare indirect tax submissions in line with reporting deadlines
- Develop short-term and medium-term cashflow forecasts
- Administer payroll for UK and European staff
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency
- Ensure robust financial controls are in place and escalate potential risks where identified
Requirements
- Studying towards or holding a recognised accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
- At least three years’ experience in a finance or accounting role
- Exposure to UK indirect tax reporting (advantageous)
- Proven experience managing UK payroll
