We better connect clients to young people by delivering on-the-ground impact through ambitious ideas, unique insight into their lives and strong partnerships.

Our Marketing & Communications department consists of a passionate group of experts with specialist experience across all things marketing, product, data, digital and communications. We utilise a deep understanding of target audiences to deliver fully-integrated and creative multi-channel campaigns to build advocacy for brands amongst young people, with a core focus on reaching young people directly and via teachers, parents and the wider community. In addition to developing campaign strategies, our team are also responsible for campaign execution, delivering activity to land our client programmes, from implementation and optimisation to reporting and evaluation.

The Senior Marketing Executive plays a pivotal role in developing and delivering effective, audience-led marketing campaigns that meet client objectives. This position combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution across multiple channels, ensuring outputs are on-brand, measurable, and optimised for engagement. The role requires a strong understanding of key audiences — including teachers, parents, and young people — and the ability to use insights to shape impactful campaigns.

Responsibilities
  • Campaign Strategy & Planning
    • Interrogate campaign objectives and contribute to the development of marketing strategies, offering data-driven insights and recommendations.
    • Maintain a deep understanding of core audience groups and the strategies needed to engage and re-engage them.
    • Conduct independent research and share industry updates, platform changes, and emerging trends to inform campaign planning.
    • Make recommendations to ensure campaigns deliver against KPIs and client objectives.
    • Support on campaign forecasting, working with marketing and data colleagues to implement evidence-based approach to KPIs.
  • Campaign Delivery & Execution
    • Manage small-scale campaigns independently and support marketing colleagues on larger multi-channel campaigns.
    • Deliver day-to-day marketing activities, ensuring accuracy, brand alignment, and clear audience targeting.
    • Execute content and campaigns across multiple channels, adapting messaging for platform and audience.
    • Use tools and platforms for email marketing (e.g. DotDigital) as well as social, video and display campaign set up (FB, IG, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn).
    • Oversee creative briefing and production, ensuring outputs meet brand guidelines, safe zones, and format best practices.
  • Channel & Content Management
    • Demonstrate deep knowledge of major social media platforms (IG, FB, X, LI, TT, YT) across both organic and paid.
    • Manage and optimise website content (WordPress), applying working knowledge of SEO.
    • Build and manage email marketing campaigns, flows, and automations with support from senior marketing colleagues.
    • Identify and test opportunities for channel improvement and innovation.
    • Support on the management of National Schools Partnership Facebook Group.
  • Data, Reporting & Optimisation
    • Set up and use UTM tracking and work with GA4, Looker Studio and PowerBI to monitor and analyse campaign performance.
    • Collaborate with data teams and marketing colleagues to extract insights, interpret performance metrics, and recommend tactical optimisations.
    • Share campaign results and learnings with the wider team to improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Budget & Project Management
    • Deliver campaigns within agreed budgets, timelines, and scope.
    • Support with budget management tasks including raising POs, tracking invoices, and updating budget trackers.
    • Negotiate with partners and media vendors to secure maximum value.
    • Support with general administration in campaign delivery.
    • Build foundational project management skills, escalating risks and ensuring smooth coordination across teams.
  • Collaboration & Communication
    • Work closely with internal teams, clients, partners, and suppliers to ensure seamless campaign delivery.
    • Contribute to client presentations and confidently present sections when required.
    • Tailor communications for different audiences, ensuring clarity, tone, and professionalism.
    • Build positive relationships through reliability, professionalism, and solution-focused thinking.
Requirements
  • Relevant digital marketing experience, preferably within an agency environment (approx. 3 years).
  • Significant experience of Dot Digital or equivalent platform.
  • Social media savvy and knowledge of platforms such as FB, IG, Twitter, Pinterest and TikTok.
  • Ability to build good relationships both within the agency but also with 3rd parties.
  • A passion for education and reaching young people and their families.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with good presentation skills and a confidence to engage with clients.
  • Good level of experience of Google analytics and use of the Facebook Ads Manager platform.
  • Expertise in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent attention to detail and used to working to tight deadlines.
  • Computer literate and confident with database use.
  • The ability to work autonomously, in a highly organised manner, with good time management skills across a number of projects at the same time.
  • A pro-active thinker and independent thinker who is committed, wants to learn, progress and be given responsibility.
  • The ability to work calmly under pressure, remaining professional and keeping your sense of humour!
