We Are Futures is a unique agency with a powerful proposition: to build advocacy for brands amongst young people, through social impact. Twenty years ago, we saw the potential for brands to connect deeply with young people, teachers, families, and communities. We pioneered the idea that brands could positively shape young people’s futures. In return, we championed the role that young people could play to help brands thrive, growing together in a positive relationship. Since 2004, we've positively impacted over 40 million young people and 150 businesses. Today, we're the go-to agency for building brand advocacy amongst young people.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Head of People & Culture to lead the delivery of our People & Culture plan, and to continue to raise the engagement and performance of our growing team of people. The strategic direction is already in place, so this role is focused on execution, embedding, and coaching rather than designing new strategy. Reporting to our MD, leading a team of four, you will be responsible for all People & Culture aspects in support of our 3-year agency growth plan. The team is responsible for running all aspects of the employee lifecycle including systems, office, inductions, payroll, recruitment, and any HR matters and administration.

As well as supporting your team, the two key focuses for this role are:

  • Supporting the business to deliver our People & Culture strategy and plan for the next three years
  • Supporting senior managers across the business to manage and lead their teams

This is a part-time role between 2 and 3 days a week, supported by 2 x P&C managers, and 1 x P&C team administrator.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing our People & Culture team
  • Supporting your team to action and embed the People & Culture plan (which includes performance and development, team engagement, reward & recognition and policy best practice)
  • Providing advice and support for line managers and senior leaders
  • Ensuring all HR requirements are met in a smooth and timely manner
  • Providing senior level HR support and guidance on employee relations to the MD and Board
  • Supporting your team to run the staff benefits programme, keeping it competitive and relevant
  • Ensuring the People & Culture team runs and maintains the offices to a high standard

About You

  • Experience in a fast-paced HR / People & Culture role within a marketing, advertising or creative environment. Agency experience is an advantage.
  • Might suit a senior HRM looking for their 1st Lead role
  • Excellent at relationship building, across all levels of seniority, with great communication skills
  • Collaborative, action-orientated and organised
  • Understanding and experience in meeting both the needs of the business and its people
  • A strong working knowledge of employment law, best practice processes, payroll, employee relations, and coaching and mentoring
  • Experienced in delivering training and development plans
  • CIPD accreditation is an advantage
  • Able to attend our London office 2-3 days a week
