Are you an experienced Senior Marketer or Account Manager looking for an exciting new role in a dynamic creative agency? Have you got an interest in marketing or design and looking for a new role that will combine people skills with project management? We are looking for an experienced marketer to join the team as a Senior Account Manager; ideally with digital marketing experience and or an agency background (although not essential). You will have a good understanding of the principles of marketing, and ideally experience in marketing strategy and delivery.
It's a great time to join, with some exciting new projects on the horizon as well as nurturing our current portfolio of clients. The role is based on-site at our office in Norwich (however, initially, you will need to spend a min. of 3 days in the Chelmsford office for the first 4 weeks for training) with at least bi-weekly visits to Chelmsford thereafter. We are very accessible from all areas of the East of England.
Responsibilities of a Senior Account Manager:
- Senior point of contact for clients as well as internally for client services team and studio queries along with Account Director, Design Director and Digital Director
- Day to day ensuring processes run smoothly within the studio and that deadlines are being met
- Assist with workflow and process management.
- Overseeing projects in studio and helping both studio and client services team manage expectations
- Oversee multiple accounts, campaigns, and projects simultaneously
- Receive client briefs and objectives and deliver projects accordingly
- Working with the Design and Digital Directors to ensure creative work meets the client's brand standards, objectives, and expectations
- Identify business opportunities and upsell services to clients
- Build and maintain long-term strategic client relationships
- Regular check-ins with clients and ensuring that they are receiving good service
- Client relationship management
- 2IC for Account Director

- Act as a role model for communication, organisation, and client service standards

- Implementation and regular review of WOWCulture
We have a very inclusive and vibrant culture where we appreciate that our staff are our reason for our existence. We have regular team lunches/drinks in the sunshine and have created an office environment that has a relaxed and inspiring feel. The music is always on, the biscuit tin and fruit basket is always full – and we understand the importance of a social atmosphere where you can be trusted to do your role rather than creating the pressure of meeting targets.
We don't offer working from home as standard (we prefer to be transparent about this) but we do appreciate and understand that sometimes there is a need to be flexible around life's commitments as and when you need them.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role and are confident liaising with clients and building strong relationships with both them and the WAF team
- Good understanding of the core principles of marketing. Digital marketing experience of delivering website projects, SEO, analytics and social media is an advantage!
- Learning on the job and being proactive in the way you work and your ideas. We love supporting those who are driven and, as a creative agency, welcome all ideas to ensure we are continuously evolving
- Confident communicating with clients in person, on the phone and via email
- Articulate and numerate. The role will involve some simple copywriting, writing creative briefs and communication with our clients
- Organised and equipped to simultaneously manage multiple projects
- A people person and a great team player
- Able to handle 'happy pressure' – no two days are the same and it is a very quick and fast-paced environment
- Be involved with creative discussions and brainstorms – and not afraid to bring your ideas to the table.
- 3-5 Years previous account management experience (does not have to be in a creative agency, but advantageous)
- Project management software use in the past (Bonsai or something similar)
