Requirements

  • Active transferable UK*C DV clearance and willingness to undergo BPSS prior to starting.
  • Experience in protocol analysis and software development within secure or operational environments.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate complex systems and data behaviour.
  • Experience contributing to the design, development and maintenance of bespoke software capability.
  • Familiarity with working in multidisciplinary engineering teams and collaborating with analysts, developers and technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to produce secure, maintainable code and support technical documentation.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to contribute effectively in collaborative engineering discussions.
  • Adaptable, technically curious and comfortable working across broader engineering challenges.
  • Experience with agile delivery and technical planning.
  • Ability to work onsite within secure customer environments in Romsey.

Responsibilities

  • Support protocol analysis and software development activities across secure operational systems and communications environments.
  • Contribute to the design, development and maintenance of bespoke software capability within high-side programmes.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to investigate technical challenges and support operational problem-solving.
  • Produce secure, maintainable code and contribute to collaborative engineering practices across delivery teams.
  • Assist with technical investigations, system analysis and the interpretation of complex protocol or data behaviour.
  • Support detailed technical documentation, knowledge sharing and collaborative engineering discussions.
  • Participate in agile delivery activities and contribute to technical planning, refinement and wider programme delivery.
  • Work onsite within secure customer environments alongside engineers, analysts and operational stakeholders.

We are supporting secure National Security programmes in Romsey and are hiring into a multidisciplinary, engineering-led team that works close to difficult technical problems in genuinely secure operational environments. This role offers broad technical ownership, meaningful operational relevance and the opportunity to collaborate with experienced developers, analysts, technical leadership and operational stakeholders.
