A digital learning specialist is looking for a Head of Sales to lead their commercial function as they push into the England market. This is a proper growth leadership role - you'll own revenue across multiple income streams, build out the sales team, and be the driving force behind apprenticeship and Skills Bootcamp expansion into new English regions. Based out of South Wales with hybrid working, this role will require ad-hoc travel across the UK.

The role:

  • Lead all commercial activity across Welsh apprenticeship and digital skills provision, England-funded programme growth, and a proprietary SaaS LMS platform.
  • Drive England market development — building relationships with Mayoral Combined Authority skills teams, DfE contacts, and employer networks to support Skills Bootcamp contract growth and apprenticeship pipeline.
  • Manage and develop a geographically dispersed sales team of BDMs across Wales and England, including performance management and coaching.
  • Own sales forecasting, pipeline management and revenue reporting across all income streams via CRM (HubSpot).
  • Identify and pursue new Skills Bootcamp procurement opportunities as they emerge across English Combined Authority areas.
  • Support the commercial growth of the provider's LMS platform, including cross-sell and upsell into existing employer relationships.
  • Embed consistent sales processes, governance, and commercial behaviours across the team.

What we're looking for:

  • Demonstrable BD or sales leadership experience in the apprenticeship, Skills Bootcamp, or funded training sector in England — minimum 5 years in a relevant commercial role.
  • Working knowledge of the DfE funding landscape, apprenticeship contracting, and Skills Bootcamp procurement.
  • Proven experience managing and developing a sales team, including performance management.
  • Strong track record of building strategic employer and stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience owning revenue targets across multiple income streams.
  • CRM proficiency — HubSpot desirable.
  • Desirable: Experience selling technology or SaaS products in an education or workforce development context.
  • Existing networks in the West of England, Devon, or West Midlands.
  • Familiarity with the Welsh training provider landscape.
