Our client is a well-established lighting brand with a strong reputation across UK and international markets, built on decades of B2B trade relationships. They're now entering an exciting new phase: launching a Direct-to-Consumer ecommerce website alongside their existing B2B operations, and they need a Marketing Manager to help drive it. This is a genuinely broad, commercially significant role. You'll sit on the Senior Management Team, own the marketing strategy end to end, and have real input into the direction of the business as it expands into new territory.
The Role
- D2C website & ecommerce - taking the lead on launching and optimising the new D2C site, shaping UX, navigation and customer journey, and working hands-on with developers and agencies to build a premium, high-converting online platform.
- Catalogue strategy - owning the long-term and short-term catalogue strategy, producing the main catalogue on a 12-month cycle with biannual supplements, and maintaining UK and international variations.
- Digital & website performance - using analytics and customer data to continually optimise the site, growing traffic and conversion, and overseeing CRM, email and digital platform integration into ecommerce operations.
- Brand & content - managing the marketing, graphics and photography team to keep catalogue, website and social content consistent and premium across every touchpoint.
- Strategy, events & trade - setting the wider marketing strategy and budget, and leading UK and international trade shows and exhibitions.
What They're Looking For
- Proven experience managing or launching a D2C ecommerce website, ideally end to end.
- Experience managing the production of catalogues or comparable large-scale print/brand collateral.
- Confidence working hands-on with developers, IT teams and ecommerce agencies.
- A strong eye for website aesthetics, UX and brand presentation.
- Solid grounding in digital channels (SEO, email, paid social) and analytics-led decision making.
- Experience leading a team and managing a marketing budget.
- Experience in interiors, homeware or lighting is a bonus, as is familiarity with Shopify or Magento, but neither is essential.
