We are currently recruiting on behalf of an established main contractor for an experienced Site Manager to join their West Midlands team, working on new-build residential projects.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in new-build housing, ideally with proven experience delivering social and affordable housing schemes.
The Role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of the development, ensuring projects are completed safely, to programme and to a high standard.
You will work closely with the project, design and technical teams, subcontractors, consultants and local authorities to ensure the smooth delivery of the scheme.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience delivering new-build residential projects
- Strong social / affordable housing experience
- Good technical knowledge and ability to support the design team
- Experience managing highways and utilities agreements through to adoption
- Strong understanding of programming, build sequencing and site logistics
- Experience with both traditional construction and timber frame
- Good knowledge of current Building Regulations, NHBC and LABC standards
- Strong subcontractor and consultant management skills xgikmsk
- Good man-management and communication skills
- Highly organised with excellent prioritisation and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards
- Excellent approach to health & safety and general compliance
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
