Our client, a well-established and growing construction contractor/developer, is currently seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. The role will involve delivering commercial and residential apartment projects, with individual scheme values of up to £40 million.

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take full commercial responsibility for projects from pre-construction through to final account. You will work closely with project teams, consultants, and clients to ensure successful financial delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full commercial management of commercial and residential projects up to £40m
  • Preparation and management of cost plans, budgets, and cash flow forecasts
  • Procurement of subcontractor packages, including tendering and negotiation
  • Contract administration, valuations, variations, and final accounts
  • Regular cost reporting and risk management
  • Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff where required
  • Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain
Candidate Requirements
  • Proven experience operating at Senior Quantity Surveyor level
  • Background in commercial and/or residential apartment developments
  • Experience managing projects valued up to £40 million
  • Strong knowledge of JCT contracts
  • Excellent commercial, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a wider team
